NURSING FOUNDATION LAB

 

Well equipped labs provides excellent opportunities for the students to learn and practice basic skills and more advanced nursing interventions in simulated hospital settings using anatomical models, high-fidelity simulators and mannequins.

Nursing foundation lab creates an imaginary hospital set up; where the students can study can study learn and practice the basic nursing procedures on mannequins with the assistance of clinical instructors. By this the students will be confident enough to care the patient in their clinical settings.

 

Objectives

  • To demonstrate fundamental nursing psychomotor skills in a safe manner.

  • To use written verbal, non-verbal and emerging technology methods to communicate effectively.

  • To utilize organizational and time management skills in the patient care setting priorities for clinical performance.

  • To demonstrate beginning critical thinking decision making skills based on standards of practice, theory, and research.

  • Apply theoretical content to the nursing care of the client in a clinical setting.

  • To Improve the quality of pre service training and provides Continuing Nursing Education to the faculties

  • To develop the ability and skills of the students in managing various situations of antenatal, intranatal and postnatal mothers and normal and high risk neonates
