About the Programme
- OT technician has a key role to play, as they are the support link between OT Sisters and Doctor in OT. Right from Sterilise the OT and instruments and Assist in common Surgeries as the first assistants in emergencies they usually prepare the OT prior to surgery, including Anesthesia preparation and Surgical Preparation.
- They also perform basic nursing procedures like IV Catheterisation, RT insertion, Nebulisation, Oxygen therapy, Injections.
- They monitor the patient in the pre-operative and post-operative room and also Perform Cardio-pulmonary resuscitation. Apart from maintaining all OT records in a proper way, they also provide psychological support to the patient and counsel patients’ relatives.
Eligibility Criteria
- Pass in +2 Science with Biology and/or Mathematics as one of the subjects from a recognized board of the country.
